It is an illness of fibrous connective tissue, palmar aponeurosis of hand, with symptoms such as spontaneous flexion of fingers, mainly little finger and ring finger. It is a relatively widespread illness.
Surgery is carried out under local anaesthetic, as an out-patient treatment.
